Dermot Kelly has been involved in the music business his entire life. He spent many years touring America, Germany and Scandinavia before settling down in Puerto Rico five years ago. One of the most accomplished guitarists, Dermot has worked with an array of artists including Phil Coulter, Sharon Shannon, Jimmy McCarthy and Aslan to name a few. His dream was to open a great traditional music venue where quality musicians could display their talent nightly. With experience at promoting concerts in Ireland and bringing numerous bands to Sweden and Denmark, Dermot has an endless supply of top class entertainers from which to choose. In their first six months the dream has gone from strength to strength! A stunning amount of talented performers have sat in and partaken in the nightly sessions. MacGowans Pub is a blast from the past with a real traditional feel to it. Wooden floors, countless candles, no TV's, best Guinness on the island and the maddest staff all add to the uniqueness of this fabulous friendly venue. Thank you to all our friends who keep us going. Michael 'The Hog' Casey Michael Casey, hails from Connemara, a picturesque area in the west of Ireland. Michael has been playing music for many years, and has worked with various musicians and performed in various pubs, clubs, festivals and other venues in his homeland as well as all over the world, including the USA, Russia, China, and Scandinavia.
