We've had some magic unforgettable moments in the pub thanks to all of you,our valued friends. What feckin reccession? For those of you who couldnt make it over, we hope you're in good health and are developin a thirst for when we meet again. Although every night is special at MacGowans, We'll never forget the majestic flute playing of our dear friend Matt Molloy. Thank you Matt again for your friendship. As one lad said upon your departure <Jaysus isn't that Matt fellow reeaaal sound?> You're the soundest ! One mad week to beat all has to have been with Billy Keane, supreme journalist with the Irish Independent, outastanding crooner with feet movements that have as yet to be surpassed at MacGowans. A great gang from Listowel kept the rhythm going all week. At the height of this unabashed letting down of hair and other things who arrives on stage?Noneother than Christy O Connor Jnr. What a golfer, what true ambassador for sport, what a gentleman. Christy sang, played and sweated with Dermot, Clarky and Sean whilst Mr Keane and the lads sweated more. When the crowds had departed for their snack boxes and the sweat had been mopped up, I sat down outside looking in at MacGowans and I truely felt its a feckin mighty little pub. So Thank you all again our dear customers fo listenin, payin, screamin, drinkin, feckin, kickin, dancin, spoonin, diggin, pullin, draggin. We love you all and welcome back Dermot and The Greatest Staff Ever.
